Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In Greek there's a saying 'Eat breakfast like a king, Lunch like a Prince and Dinner like a poor man'. The belief is that breakfast should be your biggest meal of the day as it's also when you need the most energy. Dinner should be light, especially if it's late, so that you can digest easily and sleep well.

All you need is a good brown bread, or any other bread you enjoy, a sharp knife / vegetable peeler and you can get as creative as possible with your breakfast toasties too! These are totally instagram-worthy, but also healthy options to start your day strong.
My first drink every morning before anything else is warm water with freshly squeezed lemon juice. I believe it's a good detox drink to prepare your stomach and intestines for digestion. The rule of thumb with eating and liquids is the drink 1/2 and hour before you eat, and then again 2 hours after you finish eating. Liquid dilutes stomach acids which means your body needs to work harder and longer to digest food.
